Mission
"Develop young leaders and citizens of character dedicated to serving their community.” Objective The objectives of the Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) leadership program are to educate high school students in leadership, followership, team-building, citizenship, self-discipline, and aviation fundamentals. The program is grounded in the values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The curriculum emphasizes the Air Force heritage and traditions, the development of leadership, applied flight sciences, and community service. This program does not recruit members for service in the armed forces. Curriculum opportunities include * Academic studies * Character education * Life skills education * Leadership opportunities * Team-building experiences * Intramural competition * Field trips Community Projects In an effort to produce well-informed and helpful citizens, our program encourages its students to get involved in their local communities. The type and size of student community projects are limited only by the student's imagination. Units perform as a team as they coordinate everything from supporting community service events, U.S. flag raising ceremonies, marching competitions, and fund-raisers. Students named the "Top reasons to enroll." * Respectful student environment. * Being part of a responsible team. * Field trips (aviation tours, U.S. flag ceremonies). * Personal improvement. * Earn community service experience. * Scholarships. * Looks great on a college resume.
